looking for ideas for a stag party in ireland or uk.

have been looking at carrick on shannon and newcastle. have heard that killkenny and galway are not very stag party friendly. not looking to do any activities just a pure out drinking session for a friday and saturday night.

    roughly a group of 15-20

any ideas appreciated or info on carrick or newcastle appreciated as well.

Had mine in Cardiff this past May.

Cracking City for pints, really friendly people, some decent bars, good sized casino, nice restaurants, couple of strip clubs if thats your bag, highly recommended.

Newcastle is a good city too but I thought it very spread out as in if you are planning a pub crawl there is a substantial distance between pubs.

Carrick is a nice town but small and is generally thronged every weekend.

Been on lots of stags, mainly drinking ones, fri and sat nights. Yep galway is a no no. Dont let stags in to some places and noght clubs. Kilkenny not as bad, but still dont like it. Better off going to smaller location. Best places are Dingle Kenmare, also went to Doolin /lisdoonvarna 3 weeks ago.twas brill there. Heading for winter now so would be a bit quiter maybe. Lahinch is good too. Id go with dingle, pub in ballydavid is great, cheap accomodation there and pub stays open all night. Catch taxi into dingle for the night

If in the SW, you are legally obliged to have your stag in Dingle, Killarney, Kenmare, Clonakilty or Kinsale.

Cardiff, Newcastle, Kilkenny are all very good.

Galway is a hell hole for stags.

Manchester and Liverpool are good too.

Have found www.stagit.ie to be great.

Takes care of the apartment, the fun activity, and everyone pre-pays into the site, so no messing about looking for funds at the last minute.

Went to a Stag at CoS with them, and all was good. They also do england, and other places abroad if you have the cash.

carriag and cardiff were the best places I've been for a stag

galway was decent the 3 stags I went there for.

kilkenny was so lame as a place if baffles me why people think it's a good spot. niteclubs close at 2am , is all you really need to know.

wasn't in newcastle for a stag but when I was there it was a wonderfully wild spot.

westport was a bit hick but good craic, locals are decent.
hard to pull a woman cos they all have to go back on coaches to the back of beyond at 4am.
Got in a fight there because I talked to a girl and her bf was displeased.
Small talk to women in the chipper is a no-no.
    his loss though.

Dublin stags have been very good to me too , although the problem with that is lads show up when they feel like it and think its' ok to cancel at last min.

Have to say Liverpool and Edinburgh were the best stags I was one, and was out in Newcastle and it was very good too.

Galway and Kilkenny were so so.

Living in Kerry so have done the whole Dingle, Killarney, Kemnare, Clon, Kinsale thing over and over and over again. All pretty good as Irish towns go. Have done Kilkenny and Galway a few times too and found that as the towns were that bit bigger the group tended to fragment, which strangely didn't really happen in much larger cities in the UK, maybe just that we were really going there as a group and it was awful forinn.

Best stag partys I've been on were the south of Spain. Three nights there won't cost you much more than 2 nights in the UK, including flights and accommodation. In some cases it may work out cheaper..

Better weather, cheaper drink, more women, more things to do during the day etc. Obviously, this would only apply to stags during the summer months!

We don't use those stag party crowds, its giving money away. Just give everyone the flight dates and hotel details.
