    Hi,

We are about to replace our oil boiler and were told that we can avail 616 euro in credit on our next electricity bills doing so.
The list available at : http.electricireland.ie/residential/products/heating-services-repair/energy-efficiency-incentive
seems to restrict to fext partners only. Are SEAI registered professionals can benefit their customer also ?
    Thanks Eric

    Hi calimero242,

    Thank you for your message.

The list of Energy Efficiency Partners used by Electric Ireland for this incentive are available here.

Some of the Energy Efficiency Partners listed also have sub-contractors they would use to outsource the work required for the incentive. If you are speaking with a contractor regarding this work we would advise you clarify with them if they are working on behalf of a company associated with one of our listed partners.

We hope this helps. If you have any other questions please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Brige

    Hello,

    Thanks for your response.
Well this is slightly disappointing really knowing the contractors listed would generally apply big premium of the job quote just for the pleasure of being ESB partners ? Why being SEAI approved not good enough ?

    Thanks

    Hi calimero242,

Although our Energy Efficiency Partners are limited in number, they do provide nationwide coverage and competitive costs, and all energy efficiency measures would need to meet SEAI standards to qualify for the programme. Our partners would also work with sub-contractors as mentioned by Brige above.

We do appreciate your feedback, and if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

    Regards,
    David

    Hi David,

[font=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]We will have to agree to differ on the competitive cost. I have had several quotes for a job done by ESB partners (and sub contractors). All of them were between 60 to 80 % dearer than other SEAI approved professional. (evidence available). I still believe ESB should be more opened their incentive to competition to benefits the masses

    Thanks.
