    Hi,
I am thinking of buying this car, need advice on it. Don't know much about cars. What should I be looking before buying this one?Is this worth the price?

Not a bad motor and pretty reliable engine. Doesn't have 18" Alloys it says it does on the ad - they are the 16" wheels.

Actually used to be one of our fleet cars - I ordered it in 2008. It's a 120ps Base in Flat Black with the Multi Function Steering wheel being the only option. Only sold March last year with 170,936km, so not done much mileage in the last 18 months. Only thing listed on the service history that wasn't standard servicing/tax/tyres was the key not staying in the dash - common issue in early B8 A4's and fixed under warranty.

What are the chances of looking for advice on a car and the first response is from a previous owner.

    Thanks for the reply.
So I need to ask to decrease the price I believe. How much did you sell it off for?

Haven't looked at other similar cars to see if that's reasonably priced, but based on what I reckon it would have sold for last year, and the fact that used values have been pretty static recently, it looks fairly well priced to me.

Im seriously considering this car now but I'm slightly worried about your comment of 'not a bad motor, so is the motor not perfect or good?

Probably more meaning that's to an average everyday car, it won't set your heart on fire and with 120bhp it's not powerful but they are not a bad car, in the same way that a BMW 320i SE is not a bad car.

Doesn't mean that there's anything wrong per se with it.

It's not going to set the world on fire in any department, but it's not terrible either.

I'm not a fan of the A4 - find interiors dull and the driving position very poor, but horses for courses, so if you like it, go for it.

Knowing most of the history, it was trouble free while we had it so will probably be a decent buy if an A4 is for you.

Jesus that's mad money for a bog standard Audi, wife got a 151 with loads of toys earlier in the year and it's totally dull to drive. We had a 08 Passat Highline before that, I would be looking for something else Tbh. .

To be fair getting a good reliable opinion on the past history of the car confirming mileage and confirming it wasn't a lemon all its life is a rare bonus.
If you like the car, That history would be a major factor for me.
I'm driving an 08 A5 from new and I also had the ignition slot fault under warranty. No big deal and no issues in many years since.

Well on my 170 bhp version in the A5, Driving like an granny will get it to 7.5l per 100km
More like 9l per 100km on average for mixed driving - around 30 mpg.
a 120 bhp A4 is likely alittle bit better on fuel.
