    Just a question why the difference in minimum u values for a flat versus a pitched roof?

    Thanks Mick, yes meant maximum. I understand but what with a curved roof the area is similar to pitched but it it is classified as a flat roof.

    Pitched roofs tend to have voids with such space that it is easier to place more insulation into.
    the regs are probably refelecting that.
