    Well all,

About 5 or 6 weeks til the ram goes out here...

What's the plan for getting the ewes ready for the ram?
    Dose?
    Minerals?
    Vaccinations?

Gave mine a shot of growvite yesterday, and will give em another dose before they go with the ram.
I'll give em a fluke dose next weekend I think.
If I can get the toxo vaccine for the 'new joiners' will do that as well.

What's everyone's plan, or normal run of things?

So you'll be lambing before I even put the ram in :)
Are ye lambing all winter then?
    Many dorsets?
And would they have as many lambs with lambing so early?

Yes I think she might be a once of,might be a couple more after her before Christmas.Think there's about 30-40 mature ewes with 15 Dorset ewe lambs,a few more breeds about, coulple of texels, few zwartbles, few suffolks.

Yeas they would be just as good, the lambs are ready to go quicker,I have my couple of ewes lambing at Christmas which suits me perfect as they should be ready for Easter lamb sale in Raphoe.

I had a ewe last year lambed 1 lamb at Christmas time, accidentally tipped again and lambed end of April, she's ready to lamb again at Christmas time, that's really and truelly why we have the dorsets.

We give them a dose for fluke and a hoof trimming f they need it,then a good footbath to save any hassle with heavily pregnant ewes with sore feet come winter or spring.

I have 15 dorsets lambing start of October scanned 11 doubles 4 singles these sheep lambed at Xmas/new year, more lambs per ewe has to leave more profit over time
