Stories being removed from Irish publications?

I have seen this happen a few times, and every time I meant to ask the reason.
It nearly always involves a 'celebrity' doing something daft etc.. When it doesn't, it's an associated 'social company'.

I can't give past examples as they have been well and truly removed, and it was probably this time on a saturday night that I noticed them also.

For example:

But it's been removed. Why?
If her ban has been lifted, or if they got it wrong, why not update the story?
Irish media is a whole heap of bullsh*t.

Legal threats or threats of pulling perks/freebies/advertising/whatever account for almost all of these really. Sometimes a story simply isn't true - but they usually need the aforementioned legal threat to sort.
