If you are paying for a hd subcription then you can add it to the other channels using frequency

    11052.75
    H
    DVB-S2
    8PSK
    23000
    2/3

you wont be able to record it however

Has the frequency changed again for the above as now it's say my box isn't gerting a signal? It is definitely getting a signal as all other channels are fine.

I'm getting the same message with ITV2 HD.

ITV3 HD and Encore HD are fine on other channels.

I think the reason that we can't get or that they are showing the error 25 "box isn't getting a satellite signal" error is that we can't tune the .75 part of the frequency on the add channels on the Sky HD box.

The .75 bit is not important. Box tuners have a certain amount of tolerance. In the above example 11053 is close enough. However this TP recently changed to an FEC of 2/3 make sure this is set correctly.

Yep. Its set correctly alright still getting the no satellite signal - error 25 and the signal is fine. Box is a Sky HD plus DRX895. I remember when it was originally changed earlier this year it was put on a UK narrow beam - would this make a difference?

EDIT: I just deleted them and tried again - must have been an intermittent fault as they are both working now.

I haven't been able to get 2 or 4 since they went on the narrow beam, I've retuned numerous times to no avail, I'm in Donegal though so maybe I'm out of range?

Like the poster above, have you tried deleting the old settings first? Sometimes boxes ignore subtle changes as they think they already have them installed.

Yep, tried it a few times, no signal from any of the channels on that transponder.

Worked for me on 2 different Sky boxes and on each I had to delete ITV2 and 4 HD first and then add the channels again.

I'm the same as The Backwards Man, above. I have deleted the two channels from Other Channels, ITV2HD and ITV4HD, re-added them on those frequencies but still not getting any signal. They must be encrypted in Ireland now?

Pity, as some of the rugby matches are on ITV4.

ITV4 HD has always been encrypted and being encrypted wouldn't affect you being able to tune them in anyway.

Well, I'm at a loss then as to how some people are able to tune it in and others, myself included, can't.

Notahappycamper, are you receiving the stations on a skybox in Ireland?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,841 ✭✭✭lertsnim

I've tried tuning them in on a Sky HD box now and they tune in. I only can't view them as the box doesn't have the sufficient Sky subscription required.

If you have a HD sub, I think you can tune them in and view them

You can tune them in even without a HD sub. That's needed to view them.

Hi, yeah, Irish box and card and in Ireland. I just checked them both just there and they are working. Both boxes are the DRX 895s, not that it should make a difference.

Here are the settings I used after I deleted/removed the channels first:

    11053
    H
    DVB-S2
    8PSK
    23000
    2/3

It's not pedantry. Saying that a HD sub is needed to tune them in might leave someone thinking that's why they aren't able to find them when scanning.

I had the same problem, had them tuned in but then was getting the no signal message for ITV2 HD and ITV4 HD, there was no problem tuning in ITV3 HD or ITV Encore HD, I kept removing them and retuning them to no avail, kept getting the no signal. Eventually I just cleared all the stored channels and started again and now it's back working.

Done the same as An Tarbh and others about 10 mins ago thanks lads deleted all other channels and retuned them all back in now .

Itv hds have no signal loss problems anymore .

Channel 5 hd working aswell .

And i conected me sky box to 1.1 dish with shotgun cable straight from lnb to box and still had the same problem until i deleted the other channel,s first .

So if anybody is having problems trying to retune the station,s back in, deleted the channels first and try to retune it might save you getting the ladder out thinking the dish might be off a bit from the wind .

Always wondered why the ITV sister stations (2, 3 and 4), and Channel 5 actually, weren't available in HD on Freesat.

Because they're part of HD subscription pack. Personally I'm surprised that Channel 5 is not FTA HD as its one of the main channels.

Channel 5 hd has a sky carriage deal until 2020
