Rental Question - water grant

    Hi,

    I was hoping to get a few questions answered re: registering

    I have moved into a rented property - nobody has registered for Irish water in the property - I think it is being left up to me.

    my questions:
    1/ Can I still register for water grant?
    2/ if I move out mid billing period will my last bill be calculated pro-rata?

    Thanks for contacting us.

    The 2015 water conservation grant may be applied for by householders that have registered with Irish Water by 30th June 2015. Customers registering after 30th June 2015 may be eligible for the 2016 water conservation grant depending on the guidelines published by the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.

    All bills are issued on a pro-rata basis. If you are planning to move out, please call 1890 448 448 on the day that you are moving, and member of the relevant department will then assist you further.
