I have a room 15 ft x 13 ft and I want to put a cheap insert stove into it.

This stove will not be used very often - I have a Cara Insert in the sitting room, hence I want to go cheap on this room.

Any opinions on the Kingstar Holly 2?

    Thanks

Why put in a stove if you are not going to use it? IMHO no point going to expense of stove if only lighting it a few times a year.

If its in might you use it a reasonable bit?

The general rule with stoves and particularly inserts seems to be that going to the cheap end of the market is a disaster.

Is the room reasonably well insulated? Many windows / external walls?

Might be ok with a 5kw stove.

Henley get a lot of praise here - the Matt Apollo 5kw goes for around €550

Edit 2 - Just saw you have another thread about the Stanley Cara with recomendation for the higher output (than 5kw Apollo) Achill

I bought a Stanley cara for the sitting room, this other stove is for a living room which is not used very often,
One window in this room, would not be very well insulated

Ok, because in the other thread you were asking for prices for the cara I though you were thinking cara for the 2nd room as well. (reasonable assumption as why would someone ask for prices for a stove that is already in situ)

If its poor insulation then the 5kw possibly not good enough for that size room. How many external walls and doors in and out of room. The more info you give the better answers you can get

So recommendations as in other thread
or maybe up the insulation in that room? Get better bang for your buck that way.

    just one external wall

Henley seems popular and good quality, suppose if we went for a matt blak would not be as expensive

Anyone know anything about the Kingstar Holly which is the same as a Thorma
