I'm looking to book flights to Aus soon, I have done the trip before and its torture for me because I cant sleep. Would of you know how to go about obtaining extra legroom seats so I can make the trip somewhat more comfortable ?

Have a look at www.seatguru.com to assess the seat pitch for the various airlines and classes, this way you can pick the airline or even the seat that is most suitable to you.

Pay for them. It really is as simple as that. The airlines like the make money off everything they can, your travelling in relative comfort will cost you more than you merely travelling.
