I am not a teacher. I train football with under 8 kids.

I have this polish kid that comes along and he just doesn't understand me in what I am saying. All he polish friends speak English except him.
He struggles hard to get English words out.

What I am asking is could I go speak to the teacher about my concern and see if there can be any help for?

He probably understands more than he speaks, so just because he is not speaking, I wouldn't be sure he doesn't understand a lot of what you are saying.

In terms of training, he will probably watch the others and follow what he sees them doing. If you want to check (and probably make him laugh) you could say 'Rozumiesz?' ( Roz oom ee esh) to him.

For times to meet etc., double check that the other Polish kids have translated for him.

The teacher will probably be having the same issue with him.
