lad's just looking for a bit of advice for a mate, he wants to put a mod on a .300 win mag but he doesn't know would a normal .30 cal mod do or would he have to get one that is magnum rated, also if any one had any suggestions on any specific make etc

    thanks, fitzy

The manufacturer will usually say if a model is magnum rated or not. If it doesn't specifically say it is then I wouldn't risk it personally.

Had a magnum rated T8 on mine. Heavy as feck but did a great job on noise and recoil.

I'm sure a lighter more modern design could be sourced which is also magnum rated.

Hauskin have a mag. Rated moderator for 30 cal. My friend got it of John lambert in camolin. Not very heavy on rifle and takes away alot of the recoil for it.
