I worked for an agency for a year then finished and joined a new agency, I havent worked in three months but this is my first payslip, How is it €704? I know its obviously something to do with my tax credits but if anyone could explain that'd be great.

Im 20 btw so sorry if this is a stupid question but Im relatively new to this stuff!

You have negative tax there. My guess is they know you would be owed a rebate and they are paying it now.

Yeah I rang Revenue regarding Emergency tax and they sent the agency the forms on Monday. So this is definitely legit and not a mistake?

Well it's given to you by revenue not your employer. It's almost certainly a rebate for your previously paid emergency tax.

My uncle said its my unused weekly tax credits for the past 3 months minus emergency tax? Does that sound right?

Yes. You pay emergency tax at your first employment (in any one tax year at least) not after that. You worked already this year so if you paid emergency tax in that job you are owed a rebate. This is probably that.

People don't pay emergency tax in every job they start

If you left a job this year , you should have a P45 with tax paid figure on it
