College fee by direct debit

    Hi all,
Just checked out on a college website the payment options, and beside the full payment to be done before the academic year starts, there is an option to set up direct debit and authorize the college to debit my account for the fees monthly, which is fine.

But, there is line saying, if for any reason I stop paying and leave the course, I will still be liable to pay the full course fee. Which is scary, as if I`d loose my job, probably I wont be able to pay any further or for any other financial reason I`d not be able to pay,
Could I cancel the direct debit?
