Seems like a must-have if you're half interested in a tablet for a fraction of the cost.

Expandable to 128GB with MicroSD. Quad-core processor

Ships free to Ireland. you can use a Revolut card to get best exchange rate. Currently works out at 69euro.

That UI looks much better than their old ****e, really tempting price for a cheap tablet/comic reader

Also noticed if you buy 5 you get a 6th free with the code FIRE6PACK

If these are the same as the Fire HD tablets, note that they are well tied into the Amazon ecosystem. No Google Play Store access (I find that the Amazon app store has far less apps).

I have a first generation KFHD (the Tate model) that I rooted and added a custom ROM. Not sure if that can be done on the newer models.

Just something to bear in mind.

I guess a lot will depend on the SoC used. If it's Mediatek/Allwinner, or something like that, I wouldn't be too hopeful of getting the likes of a full AOSP rom for it.

But in fairness, the new FireOS does look a lot nicer and UI elements seem a much closer to stock Android. For this kind of money it might still not be too bad a deal if the minds at XDA can get it rooted and get Google's app ecosystem and services running on it.

Lack of expandable storage is a bit annoying again.

Edit: Nevermind! Corrected by Mr E.

    Storage: 8 GB
(expandable by up to 128 GB with microSD)
Free unlimited cloud storage for Amazon content

Could have sworn I read some thing or another that this has no micro sd slot again. Misinformed, that's good news anyway. Now if the exchange rate wasn't so sh*te

    Screen res is also terrible.

But, for a cheap tablet, you'd be better buying this one direct from Amazon than the crappy unbranded/Chinese £50 tablets.
