sorry for digging up an old thread, but i'm having similar issues.
Radio was working fine yuesterday morning. Had my windscreen replaced yesterday afternoon and ever since there is no sound coming from the radio. It does crackle a little bit and some sound has come through. Seems like a loose connection somewhere. The windscreen guy called back out to check, but assured me that there are no wire/connections for the radio near the windscreen so he couldnt have accidentally does something.
Any ideas on how to solve this? where are the connections, are they easy to check?

Does the sound work if you play a cd or tape?

    2009 Ford Focus
    6000CD.

Apolgies, for whatever reason the mods lifted the post out of an older thread and created a new one so the details might appear to be lacking.

No sound from radio, cd, or phone when connected via bluetooth.
Power is going in as the radio is turning on and all the functions appear to be working, just no output. Like I said, there was some crackling this morning and the radio came through for about 40 seconds but crackled and went silent again. thats whats leading me to believe it may be a loose connection somewhere?

Does(did) this car have a heated front windscreen?

Possibly the connections from the radio to the speakers.

Tbh, I'd go back to where they changed the windscreen and ask.

Yes, has a heated windscreen, and replaced with a heated windscreen.
It was a mobile job on the windscreen, he came back out this morning.
He didnt take the windscreen out again, but told me there are no wires or connections anywhere near the windscreen so he is certain that there is nothing that he could have done to effect the sound. Being a sceptic, I 60% believe him.

Seems to work when I open the passenger door!

Fixed, something to do with the tweeter on tin passenger side. When the door was closed, putting pressure on the surround, it stopped the sound. Took off the cover and re-positioned the speaker and now it's working again! Yay. \o/
