I recently got an octavia estate and im looking for a set of wind deflectors for it.
Ive rang around and can get a front set for €60 or €75 in local shops. Not sure what brand tho.
Searched online and can get them from the continent for €43, and the same set from Ireland for €46 delivered for a set of Heko, front and back windows. This seems a good price but are they any good? I only want the front but if their a decent set ill happily bin the back ones and still save a few bob over buying local.

Any opinions on the Heko brand?
    Cheers.

Brother has them on his car, seem good.
Not a fan of rear ones though.

    Cheers lads.
Its the 04/12 model i have and micks garage are out of stock. I had checked there already.
Ive never had them on a car before but the rain seems to pour into the octavia if the window is even open a tiny bit and i like it open a little when driving.
Id pay the extra if i thought they were worth it but if the Hekos are good then great.

Can I ask what are the benefits of wind deflectors? Is it mainly if you drive with the window down it avoids noise etc?

Kind of. It reduces whistling with the window slightly open, but the big thing is you don't get water coming in.
The shape of windows is different to years ago with the top tapering in much more than before, the rain just drips down onto your arm.

I don't see the point in them because I don't smoke in the car and rarely have the window down if it's raining.

ive always driven with the drivers window open a small bit, dunno why. its just a habbit and the rain seems to pour into this car more than others ive had. I also eat my lunch in the car a bit and like to have the window open so the hole car doesnt fog up and any bit of drizzle and again, it drips in very heavily.

it seems micksgarage have the pair of G3s in stock again. would these be a better buy than the hekos? their a tenner cheaper which isnt a whole lot.

I have the G3 ones on my Avensis, they work OK, but I have found them to come loose in the window opening, not sure if its the window rubber being old or the deflector being bendy plastic.
They are quite strong and don't crack easily.
I prefer the type that bond to the outside of the window like the genuine Toyota ones, no interference with the window seal area and work just as well.

Hekos are actually one of the best wind deflectors on the market.

Used them with many cars and never got any issue.

Before you put them in, just use few more strips of double-sided adhesive tape (cheap thing to buy here and there) to prevent them becoming loose.

Try a Skoda dealer, last set I bought from them were €35 or thereabouts. For some reason common bits and pieces like that tend to be relatively inexpensive from them.

I ended up getting the G3 set in micks garage as i figured they would be quicker for delivery.
