BBC iPlayer

This not working for anybody now? Was fine till a week ago now stopped working something about geo-blocking on the Kodi forums.Some people claim it still works for them. I read theirs a BBC Lite player version not in a repo but cant find it anywhere. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Could you let me know if your using iPlayer Lite or Mikey1234 BBC iPlayer(0.1.0)? I was using Mikeys and Akamai streams always worked 99% of the time. iPlayer Lite has no option to set a proxy so that's completely dead in the water for me. Thanks.

Sorry folks, I've never tried bbc i-player on Kodi as I assumed it didn't work because of geo blocking:o

So are you all saying that it should work fine in Ireland?

I presume BBC iPlayer is for Uk residents only. So yes it shouldn't be available to people in Ireland. But theirs an add-on called Datho VPN that bypasses the whole geo blocking stuff. I'm no expert but the service seems unavailable for me atm. And like i said some people on the Kodi forums are saying the same thing. And if captain boycott is from Ireland I'm not sure why he/she can avail of the service.

I'm using Mikey1234 version 0.1.0 & yes I'm in Ireland. Watching Wallace & Gromit in 720P as I type this :-)

But there definitely is an issue. Tonight loads of shows are failing to play. It used to be much more reliable. I wonder if it's all the newer episodes that are failing. Almost everything in the popular section fails now but a lot are still working via the A-Z menu...hopefully it will get fixed soon!

Sorry just got another iPlayer update from mikey seems all streams are working now. Happy days :P
