    How long would 7.5GB broadband last? I mean streaming live soccer games or streaming movies? not uploading

    Streaming movies probably not long each movie would be around 300-500MB in low quality then if you go all the way up to HD they can range from 1GB-4GB per movie depending on where you are watching it.

    What site would you be watching the movies on or streaming live soccer games?

    If 3 works in your area you could get a phone SIM with them on pre pay and use their unlimited data plan to connect to the internet that way just note that they say your only supposed to use the Internet from this plan in your phone , although it will work in a mobile broadband modem or if you have the SIM in your phone you can create a hotspot connection to connect a laptop or any other WiFi device to your phones unlimited plan.

    A full football match could be 4-10GB depending on what quality its watched at...

    Yeah I have 3 already but watching live sports can be hit or miss, stopping to buffer through out.
    Would using a mobile broadband modem give a better WiFi signal than using the phone as a hotspot?

    It could do, but the real problem seems to be that you are trying to use mobile broadband as real broadband!

    Mobile is only suitable for a bit of light surfing and the odd quick youtube video. It really isn't suited to lots of video streaming, etc.

    You need a proper wired broadband connection for that.

    It's possible but with 3 it's all hit and miss with their internet speeds.
