Best advice for this kind of dressing-up is to hit a row of charity shops with an open mind for styling.
    Top of Camden St
Rathmines Rd, from Library up to Post Office
Dun Laoghaire, length of Georges St
    Capel St / LIffey St

In town, try Retro, Eager Beaver and around the Georges Arcade.

Waistcoats in dark brown or tan or stripes are very steampunk, as are stripey shirts with pocket and cuff tabs and details.
A tall hat and ankle boots, even slightly military boots. Look at pictures of Edwardian and Victorian shirt collars and bow ties, too. Lace trims and brass buttons, all are acceptable. Get lengths of thin brass chain at the jewellery stand of charity shops, too.
    Enjoy!
