You basically need to find a garage test has VCDS, they will scan and search for faults. It could really be any number of things from a sensor on the gear lever to an entire control module.

You could try BC motors in Carlow.

Could be an issue with the TCM - Transmission Control Module

Codes needs to be read and TCM might need to be replaced, mech will know.

If car is still in warranty check with dealer.
Actually ring dealer anyway, they may know of a recall or something, worth a shot anyway. Good luck

well i did manage to get a local lad to check the car his computer says 17105 transmission output speed sensor G195 implausible signal p0721 not a plausible signal
do you have any idea what it could be?

There are two sensors that read the input and output speeds of the automatic transmission. I dont think failure of either of these sensors would cause a no shift/drive problem, but would probably just trigger a warning light. Was there a light on before the selector failed to shift? It sounds like the transmission control module may be in a limp home mode, for any number of reasons. Your man with the VCDS should be able to get a freeze frame snapshot of that fault code. Just check whether the fault code occured at the same time/mileage as the no start or whether it was logged at an earlier mileage than what is currently on your odometer? Have you had any gearbox oil leaks underneath the car, pull the undertray and visually inspect all the connector to the box, checking especially for any signs of fluid ingress around electrical connectors.

thanks for detailed reply i check and he checked that car is totally dry underneeth no there was no light or anything at all it just happen all of sudden last year we got gear box serviced with no issue what so ever
the guy mention that speed sensor is built inside the gear box to check that we needs to open all gear box if its just a speed sensor it would cost us around 400 euros but if something else come out we might never know until open it what should we do what is your best advice

Id be fairly certain the speed sensor is external to the box and is bolted on using a 5 mm allen key bolt. It has a short electrical cable terminating in a 3 or 4 pin connector IIRC.
