    Operation Deadlock
    Year: 2020

    Background:
Due to ever increasing worldwide dependency on oil, the world’s supply has surpassed its peak and is on route to running dry. Demand is at an all time high for remaining reserves, even with all the advances in green technology over the previous decade. Many of the major oil producers have made significant investments to their defense budgets due to the constant threat from both terrorist organisations and unstable nations.

Pipelines are split into two major categories. Routes to the west are mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan. Routes to the east are mainly sourced from Iraq and Iran.
A new, significant oil discovery has been made in the Caspian sea and is estimated to contain over 3 billion barrels. This find would be enough to produce well into the next decade.
Disputes have arisen as to who has the claim to the field as both Iran and Azerbaijan have prospecting rights in the region.

A naval blockade has been set up by Azerbaijan and a stand off with Iranian naval elements is currently taking place.

Iranian military officials in Tehran has stated that any resistance to its claims will result in 'unfathomable consequences' for Azerbaijan

    What to expect:
This is a 10 hour Military Simulation event.

Players who attend this event will be expected to be self sufficient and be able to stay in the field for the duration of the event.

    Sides are determined by headgear.
    Azerbaijani Forces:
    Bandannas, Helmets, or Beanies.
    Iranian Forces:
