I'm trying to borrow a friends commerical jeep for a day but I'm having trouble finding short term insurance.

My own insurance company won't deal with commercial vehicles.

Anyone point me in the direction of a company that will insure me?

You must own it to insure it. So your friend will need to get you added to his insurance.

    Thanks for the reply.

Any idea what kind of money we are talking about here to get me added to his policy?

They might or might not charge a premium but they'll probably charge a processing fee for updating the documents, typically €40 per change. He will have to check with his insurer. There's probably no need to take you off his policy but if there is it will likely add another processing fee.

Better than I was expecting if it turns out to be true.

    Thanks for the help.

I was updating my post while you replied. It might be a lot more if they charge a fee for your cover, only the insurer can say.
