should I build soap bars between my joists?

    Hi all, I nearly have all my joists hung on my flat roof. One builder says to build soap bars between my joists and the other says not to so what should I do? It is a warm roof so will I not loose heat out between my joists either way ?

    Soap bars dont act as insulation
