Photoshop CS5 problem

    Can anybody help, I'm trying to insert a photo of someone into another photo, . Ive cut away background of both pics but when I move one pic into the other it doesnt seem to be working out right as I can see the picture through the pic that Ive placed on top.

    I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong

    Did you feather the selection when you were removing the background? If you set the feather too high it can make the selection less than 100% opaque for any pixel.

    Make sure you're inserting the picture onto a separate layer, make sure no blending modes are on, and that opacity and fill are both at 100%

    Thanks for replies, the transparency is @100% what I'm doing is removing background from both pictures and then clicking move icon on top left hand side then moving one picture onto the other one. Any idea's on what I'm doing wrong

    ctrl+a then ctrl+c on one photo. Then in the other press ctrl+v and it will paste onto the other.

    Tried ctrl+a & then ctrl+c

    crtl+v on 2nd all that came over this time was blank

    Would you be able to post the Photoshop file, it would be much easier to diagnose when looking at the file. If you don't want to post it publicly feel free to pm.

    You can try to open both files in PS. Right click on the layer you want to be copied and choose Duplicate Layer...
    In the Destination point to the other image you have. The layer will be there.

    Hi Folks

    Thanks for your help. Ive got something done not 100% but it will have to do. It show in one hand the difference between a Nikon 7200 and an iphone
