just started building have a lower pitch roof at front of house circa 15 degrees

the main roof is to be slated, wondering on solutions as it seems roof needs to be min 25 degrees for slates

have a car port at the back of the house and will be using zinc but front is clad in cedar so want to keep it the same as the main roof

anyone know if you use could use some sort of membrane such as pvc underneath and then put slates on top of it? engineer was suggesting double battening but roofer not keen

    any suggestions welcomed
