    Hi,
It's my first time flying and I'm going to Abu Dhabi with Etihad. I booked online and don't have physical tickets, do I 100% need to check in online and print off a ticket or can I just go to the etihad check in desk at the airport with my reservation number? Sorry if this is a silly question, I have never been in an airport in my life.

you can do either- what ever suits you. Ultimately you need a thing called "Boarding Pass" - it should have a seat number and a bar code on it. I'm not entirely sure on etihad's policy regarding seat selection but most cases and for most airlines you do want to check in online because that allows you to pick a seat you want - when you check in at airport you will be assigned a seat from what's left there, usually those would be the kind of seats you don't want - aft of the aircraft or next to a toilet..

You can pick your seats one line and what type of dinner/food you want etc.
Etihad is a full service airline, so no messing around with extra costs etc unlike Ryan Air and Aerlingus.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Thanks for your help, just to confirm, I can turn up at the desk with just my passport and suitcase and give my booking number? I don't have access to a printer to print off my booking confirmation.

You don't even need your ref number they'll match your name from your passport to the booking. You don't need to print anything.

However, as a frequent flier with Etihad, I would strongly recommend checking in on line and printing out your boarding pass if you can.

The queues for web checking are usually one or two people, whereas the queues for those who have not checked in are usually full. So you will generally sail to the top of the queue.

Having said that, there is no issue in turning up with just your passport - I've done it a few times (before I copped the Web Checkin was quicker :)
    ).

Folks, this topic does not belong on this forum, please take it to the Travel Forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=96927621&postcount=46 as it contravenes the Aviation And Aircraft Forum Charter http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055763888
