I have a small hole appeared(bout the size of A 2 euro coin) in the bottom of my slurry tank. I had a crack and smaller hole before and i filled it fine with epoxy steel. Have any of you guys had any success with other methods?

Gaffer tape:D round and round where the filler pipe goes on, steel is rusted on mine:o

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

If it's the size of a 2 euro coin it's fairly well eaten. Maybe see about getting a plate 12" square or even bigger formed and welded over the whole lot

Yeah. That's what I decided. Have it washed dried sanded now. Goin to fill with epoxy putty now then pull out the welder.

Had a few in old tank in the past welded small square patch over hole but you might have another small hole somewhere else in another year or two.
    Tanks rot from inside out

Yeah did that yesterday. Was just a little worried that I'd burn another hole with the welding. But it was fine. I won't be posting it in the guntering section however the jobs a gooden.

Open up the back and add concrete mixed with fibre glass...that's what I seen lads doing before

Get a square of blue "barrel"and a bit bit of silage wrap and a few tek screws.stuff wrap into/over hole and tek screw the bit of blue barrel onto it.fair chance around the hole will be weak as well so no bother using tec screws.sounds a bit cowboy but works great

Get Conor Lenihan (ex FF Minister)
Place aforementioned in slurry tank hole.
Sit back and basque in crowning glory.

This was on the tanker. OP is your problem on a vaccum tank or under the slats?

Vaccum tank. It's a 1350 Hispec bought new in 1993. It's moved a fair heap of slurry. Gave very little trouble except for replacing splash plate and the little overflow chimney on top rotted. On its second drive shaft too. Tis bullet proof I tells ya. Always super fast to fill. Have another tank of a different make and there's no comparison.much slower fill it.
