Why arent RTE radio jobs ever advertised externally?

    Im told by a colleague that they are advertised internally but never publically. I cant see how this can be legal in any way shape or form. Surely this is one for the newspapers to look into too?

    If you mean presenting jobs, these are rarely advertised anywhere by any station except possibly for new entrant to the industry positions (overnights, weekend graveyard, etc). You get the odd stunt like TodayFM "advertising" the job everyone already knew was Anton Savages, though.
