PCP question

    Hi,

Thinking on buying a new car.

Currently I am doing about 20-25k KM a year. Just within range for PCP.

The deal is I going for a new job which means the amount of KM per year might hit 30-35k KM a year.

Can anyone tell me what the ramification if this breach would be.

Also, just to point out that I will not be looking to give the car back at the end of the 3 years, I will be keeping it and paying for it in full.

So my question is if I am over my mileage allowance at the end of the 3 years will I be penalised or because I will be buying it rather than trading it back in will there be no penalties.

Thanks in advance! Feel free to share any other info!

If your keeping it, it won't make a blind bit of difference if there's a million kms on it. However if for some reason you decide to give it back, they charge per km over the alloted mileage.

Will be buried somewhere in the small print of the agreement, but I think it's pretty steep on PCP deals.

Google turned up - http://www.car4play.com/forum/post/index.htm?t=11657 at 14.9p on some sort of BMW. Probably varies manufacturer to manufacturer and model to model, but that figure would be ridiculous even if it was cents rather than pence.

7c per KM would more than cover additional depreciation.

Who is offering the best PCP deals at the moment?

Would be looking at repayments of max 230 a month...But interested in this type of deal.

Most of the manufacturers and dealers have some form of PCP in place. Some of them require a hefty deposit though..
