Hey guys, has anyone experience of Solo radiators? I found a few threads but they were based on like 5 years ago so opinions may have changed since.

We are in the process of renoviting the house, Old oil boiler system at the moment. I would love to hear peoples opinions on them before I commit.

Yes they are excellent. Made in Portlaoise.
Here's the thing though, and I can't stress this enough, they MUST be installed on a clean or new system. The waterways are extremely small and easily blocked with sludge. If you have old pipework, get it powerflushed. A magnetic filter on the system and a good inhibitor will help greatly after the system is cleaned

Thanks DTP. Cheers for the heads up. Yes we have a fairly old plumbing system (Boiler would be ok but the pipes are gun barrel)

I reckon we will end up replacing the pipes also.

any idea what kind of prices would i be login gat to get a system power flushed and also a magnetic filet and inhibitor installed?

Approx 400-600 for the powerflush. Depending on system size. Another 150 for the filter
