Hi. I'm looking for ball park figures to do the following work on a 2300 square foot house.

    Sand and paint wooden floors
    Paint the inside of house
    Carpets stairs and landing
Get rid of wooden floor in hall and kitchen and tile it instead.
Paint kitchen presses a different colour
    Take out fireplace in kitchen
    Replace fireplace in sitting room
Update bathrooms x 4 (new sink, toilet and new tiles )
    Change worktop in kitchen
Under the stairs put in a door type unit
    New Garden shed
    Mature Trees out back
Block off oil tank in back lawn as its unsightly

I know very hard to estimate without seeing and depends on quality of materials but just looking for rough ball park figures as I'm completely useless.

Thanks Robbie. Would your estimate be skimping it ? Or would it be for a decent job.

That would be middle of the road a lot depends on individual taste and materials.Tiles vary greatly in price from €10 sq mtr - €60 sq mtr carpets like wise
Sanitary ware is another with massive variations on prices
So 20-30k is a good budgetary start

    Thanks again
Who would one engage about all this. Would you get a builder and he in turn get all the people or how would it be done ?

Could I avail of the home renovation incentive scheme ?

    anyone ?

Yes you can avail of the scheme
It's up to yourself how much involved I the job you want be
You can just hire a builder and let him take care of everything
You can get individual trades yourself
If you have the time and heed to organise them
So it's totally up to you
