    Hi all,
I'm looking to put a hid kit in a 07 opc astra or just hid bulbs.
Looking for that white light. !:)
Are the bulbs alone any good or is it better spend the money on thd proper hid conversion ?

For A Proper Hid Conversion you will need headlight washers,Auto levelling in order to pass the nct.

You don't need auto levelling fir the nct AFAIK. But you do need washers

It's a legal requirement when you have HID headlights fitted.

Yes you do. My mate had his car fail due to the levellers not working last month.

    I find this very strange,
Why would they not be needed for LED heads then?

Can you get pic up of lamps?

Just if you have working head light washers and presuming nobody fitted them after market you should have the AFL headlights. Which are bi-xenon headlamp and you just need new bulbs.

However I need to see lights if that is so.

EDIT : If you have style of lights on left, you will not have washers from factory and need to change light units/retro fit washers to be legal.

Style on right will be Bi-Xenon/AFL and have everything from factory to be legal and should be fairly white but prob want to change from 3k bulbs to 5k.

Is there not a date restriction on the auto and manual level??

My car passed last NCT with manual levellers.

Far as I know, if the light is less than 2000 lumens it isn't needed. I know in practice LEDs seem brighter than HIDs
