Depends on the type of car you have. Is it a hatchback, saloon, coupe, 4x4, convertible etc. There is different options for all types of car. I believe the Saris bones is the most versatile, but there are still some types of car it will not fit

    Do you have a towbar?

I got the Saris Bones RS recently enough. I owned a regular Saris Bones a few years ago but sold it on as it didn't sit great when I changed car.

Have since changed car again and needed a rack again so went looking. The RS is a bit more expensive, but from the experience I had with the regular bones, I was happy to pay the extra to avoid having to tighten and loosen straps etc each time I wanted to use it.

Have done a few trips with two bikes on the rack and it is rock solid - no budge in it at all. The ratchet clamp is very easy to use, much tidier and quicker to fit to the car, and feels good and solid.

In saying all that, if I had a tow bar, I probably would have looked for a different rack.
