Just looking for a bit of advice. Have roughly 7000-8000 to spend. I want to buy a diesel and at least an 08 for cheaper tax. There are three different cars I am looking at. Saab 9-3, Skoda Superb and a Passat. I am willing to go to UK also. Lots of people telling me try to stay away from the Saab. Dont know a whole pile about cars just looking for advice on best car at that price range. And if there is a better option than the three mentioned for that price.

You're only going to get the dregs with the 7-8k budget.

Really, looking on auto trader uk you can bring over and clear what looks to be quite a decent car to be honest.

8k will get you a nice Highline Passat which would be my choice in that situation. You won't get a new shape Superb for 8k unless it's base spec with moon miles on it!

It is possible as I sold my 08 Highline that had loads of toys for 8k allthough I do echo what you say a lot of dung about.

@op a lot of those UK highlines are horrible things with saggy looks seats and terrible looking wheels, see if you can get a SEL model..
