    Hi,
My neighbours have just been in the process of renovationing their house which is attached to mine ( semi-detached). They knocked through 3 rooms downstairs to make one big living space as many others in my estate have done.there was an incredible amount of noise, extremely loud drilling for several days throughout this processes.

Unfortunately I have just discovered the other night that my bedroom window has shifted slightly away from the wall and there is a large gap along the top and right hand side. I realised this 2 nights ago when I got up to close the window as The noise level was similar to when a window is ajar, only to discover that the windows were closed but a gap had formed creating a draft and letting noise in.

Anyone know how this can be repaired? Is this a big job?

I have notified the neighbours and am going to have a structural engineer view it. But just wondering what needs to be done to recifty this.

    Thanks

Only a site assessment can answer this, but it's something that should be addressed ASAP. You are doing all the right things, best of luck.

mod note: We can't give structural advise here
