Just spotted this 43" LG telly on Amazon for £250 which should work out around €350 - €355. Delivery to PM would be needed but I have no idea what that costs. Its out of stock at the moment but can ordered apparently.

Looks to be a good price for the size and spec. More details of the model here on the Argos website

Edit: Its sold by Amazon and afaik they deliver here free but there will be 2% extra VAT rate.

You'd get it for not much more in an Irish shop so I don't see how that hassle would be worth it?

Your link now goes to http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00VLLYQNE/?tag=ho01f-21

When I go to checkout with that model the total comes to £325.88 + £12.99 p & p. Or €478.74 with Amazon's ridiculous exchange rates.:(

I see that now. It was priced at £249.64 when I posted it earlier.

Certainly not a bargain now at the revised price.

Showing as 249.64 GBP for me. Click on other sellers. Amazon is listed as another seller.

When you go all the way through it's 355 EUR using the Amazon UK conversion (which is normally a horrible rate). Delivery to Ireland is free.

Showing at £249 for me too. What's the route to buying a TV from Amazon delivery wise? Parcel motel? What's the best way?

Work out the rates yourself. ..GBP + ParcelMotel vs EUR. The saving to parcel motel will be small @2% less VAT.

Think about warranty issues as well if you have to ship it back.

The saving isn't that great via PM so I would just get it delivered directly in EUR in my opinion.

Parcel Motel charge extra for large boxes

They have a calculator, if you know the dimensions + weight of the box.

Put WWW infront of the link I posted, or Google search the model number followed by computer parts Ireland!

It was showing up around €355 delivered this morning when I posted it but Amazon stock has run out and its the market retailers only who are selling now but at a much dearer price.

Not that many TV's around with 43 inch screen - I have a Samsung 43 inch and think it is a lovely size.....felt a lot bigger than 40 inch in the shop.
