Today's iBood is a good one €89.95 (+ €12.50 postage) for a Nintendo 2DS with Mario Kart 7. They're €135 in Smyths, so it seems like the €199 price tag claim on iBood is over-egging the pudding somewhat, it's still a decent deal at €103 delivered I think. Dare I mention the C word is not gonna be long appearing :)

You lost me at iBOOD. Dreadful company. Long delivery times, terrible returns policy

Good price if you're looking for one.

Personally speaking, I think it's days are well numbered. For me, I'd save a packet by buying a cheapish branded (Lenovo etc) Android tablet and you have a multitude of free games (fun, educational) from the Google Play Store. Not to mention media consumption like youtube if the kid is old enough.

A tablet may be dearer upfront yes, but IMHO you'll save afterwards on the games aspect.

The games on Android are in no way comparable to those on Nintendo platforms. You're comparing apples and oranges.
