BTEA and registration letter from PLC

    Hi, I sent in my BTEA application about 2 weeks ago which I handed in with my acceptance letter from the college I'm going to. I started googling how long the BTEA application was going to take then I noticed people saying you have to hand in your registration letter. I haven't received such a letter since going back to college nor has the social welfare got back to be saying I need to supply it.

    I also remember the lady at the local DSP remarking that I left it a bit late but that the info in the application was fine and I should get it and she didn't mention anything about getting a registration letter.

    What should I do?

    BTEA can take a while to come through. you will need a letter from the college stating start date/end date, type of course etc. once you're in the door, ask for it. they're well used to it and will know what you need.
    this should be given to the dsp. after that it's just a case of waiting.

    Any idea how long it takes. I handed in my letter of registration to the social last monday and have heard nothing back. Will my payment just appear in the bank ot will I get a letter first. Worried I wont gey any payment this week now as I didnt sign on last Tuesday as I started college and handed yhe letter in on monday

    You keep signing on until BTEA comes through. Think you should ring them to say why you didn't sign on, else your payment may be stopped.
