Don't know if there is much use outside the US. Our agency (in the US) uses them as the certifying source for our bike patrol officers. I know a few lads who took the basic course and all speak highly of it. Plenty of fairly challenging rides, legal issues, bike takedowns, technical rides over obstacles, shooting drills (probably not in Ireland), etc...maybe a way to network with LEO's who mountain bike....that's all I know.
