I have received a couple of .264 files from a friend which were taken from a security camera.

I have used NETDVR to try and convert them to an .avi file but I get the following error message

"Find no video frame began to sign"

    Anyone knows what this means?

If you use the devices own software to create the back up there should be an option to save a player with the file.

so it should allow you to save it as an avi or mp4 file?

It will give you a player to play it on. Whether there is a converter or not would depend on the software.

Sound, much appreciated Koolkid, I will check with them and see what they got.
