folks, I am a bit puzzled.
My insulated plasterboards are only 2400 tall but the rooms are 2550 tall.
What do I do with the gap ?
I presume I have to fill it with off cuts ?
Is it better to do this at the top or bottom ?

    Thanks
    Rob

Can you not get the insulation plaster boards in 2.7m, maybe you can't. Not too sure.

I'd say other wise just use off cuts

    You can get them in 2.4, 2.47, 2.6 & 2.74 heights

assuming from your post that you've already got the insulated boards, If so, stagger them 1st board put the piece at the bottom, Then the 2nd board put piece at the top, Then the 3rd board put it at the bottom & so on in order to break the joints.

Not that I agree with insulated plasterboards in the majority of situations, you could railroad them. Less fiddly bits then to deal with. Otherwise return what you have and get longer sheets.

Keep your cuts to the bottom. That's a 6 inch off cut...chances are your skirting will hide the joint. If not its still better to keep it down. Should it crack then your eye is less likely to spot it at ground level.

    Been there myself...
I've used the full length board sitting on the floor with complete contact and used cuts to fit the top at the ceiling. Lots of insulating foam used too...

The weight of the big size board will crush the bits from leftovers if used & fit at the bottom...
