Bottom bracket / Crankset mismatch

I'm trying to replace my whole drivetrain, but it seems the crankset I bought doesn't match my bottom bracket?

Can anyone please tell me what's going on here? Can I replace my bottom bracket with one that will take the crankset I bought? If so, which bottom bracket type do I need?

I have attached photos of my current bottom bracket, the old crankset, and the new crankset. Please help, I need to get this bike in one piece asap.

    Many thanks.

The BB in your bike is not compatible with your new chain set.
You can get a Bottom Bracket to suit your new chain set.
    One like this should suit

However, you will need a special tool to remove your current BB and a different tool to instal the new BB.

Thankfully I already have the tool needed to remove my current BB. I will try to source those parts locally since I don't have time to wait for another delivery from CRC.

With regards the BB, do I want English or Italian? 68mm or 70mm? (How do I figure that out).

Also, if I am walking into a shop, what kind of BB do I tell them I need?

Thanks very much for the help.

What make and model is your bike?

It's a Jupiter Spider. I've had trouble finding detailed specs online. I'll take another look now.

If I brought my old BB with me to a bike shop would they know what size I need?

    Yes.
Chances are your BB is English.
When removing old BB, drive side loosens clockwise and non-drive side loosens anti-clockwise..

I can't see anything online, that gives specs for your bike, however I would be 98% sure, your BB is English

When you remove BB, the size will probably be marked on the shell.

You can measure the width of your the bottom bracket shell on your bike's frame. That's what the number corresponds to. Turn the bike upside down and measure the width of the shell. A ruler or tape measure should be fine. You don't need a calipers.
The English thread is 68mm version and the Italian thread is the 70mm version.

What do you torque it to when replacing ?

I just hand tighten! Don't have a torque wrench. But I've only ever replaced the Shimano Hollotech BB and any YouTube video I saw only ever hand tightened.
