Unwanted Windows 10 upgrade

My friend's laptop had Updates set to download and install automatically. As a result Windows 10 downloaded and is at the point in Updates to 'Restart Now'.

Of course my friend doesn't want the upgrade. As well as that, the C: drive was maxed out of space. I managed to resolve that issue (slightly) by using Disk Cleanup.

I found some solutions online in relation to un-installing several updates relating to Windows 10. These did not resolve the issue of Windows 10 is ready to start install. I can't check for new updates either as Windows needs to complete current installation.

Anyone know how I can remove the Windows 10 upgrade? I've already removed the updates that pull it down onto the laptop and have disabled updates altogether. Thanks.
