Leaving soon but still waiting on backlog?

Applied for Jobseekers at the start of July as i'd just returned to the country and needed an income while i looked for work, which i had no luck with. I returned two weeks later with all the requested documents and was told i'd get the backlog when my claim went through. I ended up requesting and getting the supplementary payment after that meeting and got it a week later.

However, since then and with no luck getting work, a job opportunity has come up abroad and im planning on taking it, on top of that my lease is about to expire. It's been 9 weeks since i applied and this move abroad is little over a week away.

Have i to simply accept that the backlog for the first month will be forfeit in the event an approval letter doesn't come next week?

When you sign off,you will be asked where any money owing should be sent to, and if your claim is successful you will get a back date payment less the supplementary payments.

Is there any way of knowing when/if my claim has been successful? I filed the claim in early july and still have not received anything. I'm overseas and the first month's backlog would come in very handy right about now, yet i dunno what to do. I got the supplementary payment for August and September and i had claimed jobseekers before so i can't see why they'd refuse the original claim.

I'm also not very keen to make a phone call and be put on hold for half the day and waste about 40 euro which i don't have on the call to get a curt non-answer from someone in the department.
