Samsung S5 issue

    Quick synopsis:
    Bought the S5 almost 12 months ago.
    Used it until December.
    Decided I didn't like it - not user friendly, cumbersome etc. (iPhone all the way)
    Have decided to give it another go but have found one of the apps I use the most, Snapchat, will no longer under any circumstances work on this device.
    It works fine on the iPhone, as well as another Samsung device (S3 mini) where I can log in problem free so it is seemingly an issue with my actual device.

    I have tried:
    Uninstalling/reinstalling
    Factory reset
    Logging in umpteen times with the immediate warning "Unfortunately, Snapchat has stopped".

    Has anyone had this issue before and know of a fix? I know it's only Snapchat but at the same time a device like this shouldn't be playing up over one of the world's most popular apps. I have tried one or two android-specific forums but with no joy with a solution.
