Matt vs enamel stove

I know there's an old thread or three on this topic, but I've a couple if questions, that are slightly different!
Looking at installing a henley skellig stove in our sitting room. Old fire place coming out, and it needs new floor, paint job anyhow, so decor isn't an issue.

Am trying to decide between enamel and Matt- if I go with enamel, it will be cream, with a black granite surround. Have been advised that enamel is more likely to chip, but Am afraid that if we go with Matt black, the Matt will look very dull beside the shiny granite- we could of course get matt black stove, and a granite that is lighter in colour.

I'm just wondering, in a house with small kids, and a good bit of traffic, is it a disaster to get an enamel stove? And also, how grey and discoloured the Matt will be over time? It's a big investment, I don't want to be looking at it after a year or two and wishing I'd done it differently!
