Old Audi TT - up/downsides?

Been offered an Audi TT, early 2000s, by a neighbour looking to sell. Lovely looking car but realise petrol consumption is very high. I would be driving around 100-120 miles a week, mostly 10-15 mile return commutes. Has anyone experience of one of these, including cost of servicing/parts? Should I steer clear? BTW, I'm 5'11 but thin - is that a squeeze!? Thanks

If you only do 120 miles per week and want a nice car fuel consumption should not be a big consern.
They are very samll inside and very unreliable (the early ones espcially).

I have heard this from owners also and the parts can be expensive. Lovely looking cars.
