    Hi,
I have bought a house that had 1st fix completed and all 2nd fix to be done.

The house is a 2 storey timber frame air tight house with HRU installed(not yet commissioned)

Issue is there was no pipes or electrics ran to where the boiler will be outside when the house was built. Have checked many times and asked the original owner and this is defo the case.

The boiler(grant 90120 condenser boiler) will be placed on the path outside the sitting room wall and the plan is to drill the outside wall and run the pipes & electric cable in along the wall of the sitting room thru the wall of the back toilet where the manifold is. Once done will have the carpenter box off as tidy as possible and will eventually cover it with units anyways.

Question is what needs to be done to cover back in the hole that is drilled to the outside. Talking to the plumber the plan is to fill with expandable foam.
    Is this good enough?
Heard that rodents can eat thru expandable foam so am worried about that for one.

    Thanks
    Mick

Drill through wall and sleeve each pipe then fill with mastic takes a bit more time but will be a better job
