    Hi,
I'm looking to book a european city break with my young family end of Oct. I was thinking of Copenhagen. Dont want to travel too far with young kids. Somewhere safe, plenty for kids i.e zoo or aquarium. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks a mill

Copenhagen is a good shout. If you book early enough you can pick up cheap flights as Aer Lingus, SAS, Ryanair and Norwegian are all competing in that route now.

Accompdation isn't too expensive in my opinion. Amongst others I forget I've stayed at the Copenhagen Island Hotel. One or two metro stop away from Central Station. Beside a big shopping center with a cinema so handy in that regard.

It's an easy city to get around you will walk most places but the metro is very handy.

I'd also reccomend for the kids Tivoli Gardens but check when it's open as it closes some weeks off peak. The Copenhagen Aquerium is good, in a nice place a couple of metro stops from the airport and definitely worth a look. Also the day trip over to Malmo is good. Great views as you go over the Øersund Bridge.

If you are in the south of the country, then I would recommend flying from Cork to Munich which is just over a 2 hour flight. It is a beautiful city that is extremely safe, has all the quaint traditional German stuff, and Legoland is only a short trip outside the city for the kids.
